HOT HEADS CHILI COOKOFF
Food Vendor Regulations


January 18th & 19th 2008
Lincoln Expo Center
Hwy 33 North, Ruston, La.

 

1. Booth Rental space is January 18th & 19th 2008 during the hours of operation for the HOT HEADS CHILI COOKOFF.

 

2. Booth Space will consist of:
a. 10x15 tent space OR space for trailer (specify trailer size on application).
b. Nearby parking for extra inventory

3. Food Vendor will be responsible for providing the following:
a. All food items, operational equipment, tent/booth covering, tables/chairs
b. Menu signs
c. Copy of Federal Tax ID number OR copy of Social Security number if requested.
d. Proof of insurance may be requested by health dept. If you don’t have a copy they WILL suspend you from selling.

 

4. The Hot Heads Chili Cookoff will direct sales of all beverages. No food vendors will be allowed to sell soft drinks. Food Vendors will NOT be allowed to sell these items.

 

5. Booth location is determined by Food Booth committee and is non-transferable

.

6. Food Vendor may sell only those items outlined below in this application and approved by the committee and must sell in a manner that meets county (parish) health and fire regulations.

 

7. Food Booths are subject to inspection from Health Department. Any Booth that is not up to Code will not be allowed to serve food.

 

8. Payment for booth space is due no later than December 21, 2007. In the event a Vendor cannot participate in the Festival, the fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.

 

9. The undersigned applicant warrants the applicant is solely responsible for the food that they intend to sell at the Hot Heads Chili Cookoff. It is understood that the Hot Heads Chili Cookoff, as sponsor of the festival, merely rents space to the applicant and assumes no responsibility for the safekeeping or protection of same. In consideration of and to induce the sponsor to arrange for space, the undersigned applicant does hereby release the sponsor from any claim, action, demand, or liability arising out of conduct of any nature of the sponsor, its officials or agents, including its asserted failure to exercise ordinary care and does hereby indemnify from any claim, action or demand by any person for expense or damage arising from the sale of food or services. It is understood that the Hot Heads Chili Cookoff is renting space at the Festival to the applicant for the sale of food and assumes no responsibility for the supervision or guarding of the rental space of products at the said rental space.

 

10. The sale of non-food items is not allowed.

 

11. No animals allowed in booth space during the festival.


 12. Vendor agrees to sell the following products at agreed upon prices. It is understood that any changes must be approved by the committee prior to the Festival. Food prices may not be changed during the Festival. Unless the prices are lowered.


DEADLINE FOR FOOD APPLICATION IS DECEMBER 21, 2007
Return application along with FULL payment for vendor space.
This is a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED event.
ONLY ONE VENDOR WILL BE ALLOWED TO SELL AN FOOD ITEM!
In other words only one Cotton Candy, Funnel Cake vendor will be allowed.
